An amorphous common mode inductor is an electronic component that utilizes an amorphous alloy material as its core, used to suppress common-mode noise in circuits. Its essence lies in the unique atomic structure of the amorphous material—unlike traditional crystalline materials (such as silicon steel) with an ordered lattice arrangement, it is formed through an ultra-rapid cooling process that results in a solid structure with disordered atomic alignment, known as metallic glass. This amorphous structure endows the material with extremely high permeability and an exceptionally high saturation flux density, typically reaching up to 1.5 teslas or more, which is significantly higher than the approximately 0.5 teslas of ordinary ferrite materials.
